An annual financial report is an audited report of a corporation or mutual fund’s condition and performance that is given to shareholders every year.

Bond amortization is known as the gradual decrease of value of an intangible asset over the span of its estimated useful life.

Investment allocation amount is the authorization to incur expenses or liabilities for a specific amount and in a particular time period.

Investment yield is the percentage of return on capital represented by the investment income expressed as a percentage of the price.

Yield to Maturity is the estimated rate of return that an investor can expect from a bond. The value assumes that you hold the bond until maturity.

Stock Volume is the total number of shares being traded on the entire market during a specific period of time. Each transaction adds to the volume count.

A trial balance is the sum of all credit and debit balances at the end of an accounting period and/or fiscal year before closing entries are made.

VIX is the ticker symbol for the Chicago Board Options Exchange’s Volatility Index. It’s a weighted mix of the prices for a blend of S&P 500 Index options.
